Save fuel with regular maintenance!
#1
Great tip, I know plenty of people who wait for their 'Check Engine' light to show before they'll do anything to their vehicle. There's a reason it's nicknamed the 'Idiot Light' when that light comes on it's normally to the point where other things are going wrong so if you had just kept up regular maintenance you'd never see the light!

Saving money on gas

I went to the Maverick today that I normally buy fuel at, and asked if they are on a fixed system for deliveries. The manager told me the get their tanks topped off every Thursday at his location. Handy info cause I get paid on Fridays. Ask your local store when they get their fuel, just so you know when to avoid the sediment fouling your engine parts.

How to Really save money on Gas

Setting it low cause less vapors to go flying out the top of the tank. It's charging you by volume, which includes those vapors. So it's not like you're going to get a fuller tank out of the deal, you're just going to get what you pay for.
Well...most of it.

Speeding costs
#6
I drive like a little old lady, I get honked at on a regular basis. I do a little under the speed limit, and I tend to coast up to most stops so I don't make a complete stop going through stoplights. I always stop at a stopsign of course, but never stop less then a full car legnth to the next car ahead of me.
This may all seem a little much, but I get 306 miles on an 11 gallon tank in my 98 ford ranger. I never have to do a double take when I pass cops to see if they are flipping a U-turn to come pull me over for something because I know I'm the least of their worries. Does wonders for the nerves though, It does lower your heart rate to drive by the rules, but the benifits to being a fuel miser are substantial when gas is almost 4bux a gallon.

Example: You pay X amount for Food, so take 10% of X and put it into savings.
If you pay Php2,000.00 an month in food/bills you should be setting
aside Php200.00 for savings, Correct?
I think this is a good logic because most people say to save 10% of your income.
The income varies and your budget is blown. But if you save a portion of money
that reflects on your money spend on Bills it could be easier to save.
