The only thing you should consider financing is a house. Never finance a car, furniture, computer, or anything else – even during the holidays. If you can't pay for it in cash, you cannot afford it. Also, give to a cause such as Food For The Hungry. Trust me, you will be blessed for it.

If you're like me and use your debit card excessively estimate how much money you might need for the week. I find it much harder to hand over hard cash. So I will take $40 cash in my wallet for the week and find that I end up spending alot less than if I just debit all my purchases.

In addition to monitoring spending on your debit/credit cards, keep receipts from cash transactions for recording later. Some seemingly small daily purchases can really add up over the course of a year – see if this money could be saved and better spent elsewhere!

Feeling the Cash can make a difference!!!

In lieu of using debit and credit cards schedule one day a week as a banking day. Visit your local branch and withdraw the money needed to cover all expenses not handled throgh www payment. Then place the money allocated to each expense into a labelled banking envelop (provided) and use it as needed.

Be strict with yourself...don't rob from Paul to pay Peter! Any money left over at the end of the week can either carry over or go into a rainy day fund.

Clutter can make life much more difficult than it needs to be. Taking one room at a time, go through it and gather anything that hasn't been used more than once in the last year, as well as anything that has no real value to you, or relevance. If it has true value for you, keep it. If it has no value at all, discard it. If it has value, but not especially to you, donate it to charity and take a tax deduction. Make sure to get a receipt from the charity organization you donate to and if you're donating high value items consult with your accountant to find an charity approved for tax deduction.
