Take notice of how much food gets thrown out of the fridge each month. If leftover meals get pushed to the back and become hidden, they will more than likely spoil- that's money in the trash. A few ideas on how to cash in (or at least not lose cash): First, get mad about it and decide you have wasted enough - if you do not care, you cannot change behavior. Next, clean your fridge so you can see most of the food easily. Pick a shelf for leftovers so you see them first- don't let them hide. Use a white board or chalk board and list the leftovers like a restaurant menu-eat these first. You can prevent left overs by cooking smaller quantities. Lastly, you can freeze leftovers and each them next week- just write that down!
