Create a monthly budget, on a sheet of paper write fixed expenses and variable expenses and write down the ones you know. Then add them up and allocate money from your paycheck to the fixed expenses. Then play with the amounts for the variable expenses, maybe lessen, increase or eliminate ones that you really don't need. Try not to use your debit card as much, instead pull out the money and carry it in your wallet to pay for things you know you will need.
