Lower the water bill and save the air conditioner

If water is expensive in your area, humidity is high, and electricity is relatively cheap, get a dehumidifier.

Lower humidity makes your house more comfortable at a higher temperature, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard.

If the relative humidity is high enough in your climate, you can get all the drinking water you need from the dehumidifier's collection bucket (be sure to purify the water first).

Our dehumidifier cost $150, and pulls 3 gallons of water out of the air every day. That's enough for a family of 4 to drink and still water several plants.
